According to a recent Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC) with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Bae Keun Yu violated securities laws. Mr. Yu allegedly formed Optima Koam Investment Inc. in September 2013 in order to invest in Korean securities and opened an account at a Korean broker-dealer. He then purchased shares in Korean IPOs and sold them after the companies were listed on the Korea Stock Exchange from November 2013 until March 2017. He failed to notify SH Investment & Securities of his actions, which is against securities laws. For this, he was suspended from the industry for four months. Yu was registered with Hanmi Securities in Los Angeles, California from March 2000 until August 2004, Etech Securities in Los Angeles from August 2004 until September 2009, Ace Diversified Capital in Los Angeles from August 2009 until February 2013, SH Investment & Securities in Los Angeles from February 2013 until March 2015 and Kayan Securities in Los Angeles from March 2015 until April 2017. He is currently not registered within the industry.
